LOCATION: Innsbruck is a charming medieval city located on the Brenner Route,
the lowest pass over the Tyrolean Alps.  Many of the buildings in the Old
Town date back to the 13th Century.  Innsbruck is surrounded with many
Olympic-class ski resorts where a total of 33 cablecars and lifts
to take you to the best snow.  

SCOPE: 
AI'99 will act as a major forum for researchers and
practitioners interested in the advances of applied informatics.
The conference will consist of six symposia.  These are:

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
An abstract submitted for review should have a maximum of 600
words.  The abstract should present a clear and concise view of
the subject, give an outline of the paper and its contribution,
and provide a list of references. Only previously unpublished work will
be considered.  Based on the abstract, the International Program
Committee will be make a decision to accept the submission as a
regular or short paper or reject it.

Three copies of the abstract should be received at the IASTED
Secretariat, AI'99, #80, 4500-16 Ave. N.W., Calgary, AB, Canada T3B 0M6
by September 15, 1998. Authors should provide a maximum of five
keywords describing their work, indicate which symposium the work
relates to (see Scope), and must include a statement confirming that if their
paper is accepted one of the authors will attend the conference
to present it.  Please include the full name, affiliation, full
address, telephone number, fax number and email address of the
corresponding author.

Notifications will be mailed by November 1, 1998.  Authors will
be required to preregister by January 4, 1999.  Camera-ready
manuscripts must be handed in at the conference registration desk.

SUBMISSION OF TUTORIALS
Any person wishing to organize a half-day tutorial (3 hours) in
connection with this conference should submit a proposal to
the IASTED Secretariat by September 15, 1998.  The tutorial
proposal should indicate the topic and scope of the tutorial, the
background knowledge expected of the participants, and a resume
of the instructor(s). 

SUBMISSION OF SESSIONS
Persons wishing to organize a special session should submit a
proposal to the IASTED Secretariat by September 15, 1998.
