Barcelona, a thriving, modern city is the largest in Catalonia, NE Spain. It boasts a
large number of monuments dating from every period of the city’s history (from the
Romans to the 20th century), including Gaudi’s famous Sagrada Familia Church and
other secular buidings, and the Ramblas. Particularly interesting are the Gothic Quarter
and the city’s museums (including the Picasso museum). Parts of the city were recently
renovated for the 1992 Olympic Games. Both the city itself and the surrounding area
contain a great variety of restaurants, shops and possibilities for leisure activities.
Barcelona is situated on the Costa Brava and in June the warm weather makes the
nearby - and very clean - beaches appealing.

Deadlines:

Full Papers due:	Jan 17 1997
Notifications: March 21 1997
Registration &
manuscripts: April 25 1997.

Submission of papers:

Papers reporting original and unpublished research results and experiences are
solicited. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, timeliness,
relevance and clarity of presentation.
Four copies of the manuscript (full paper) should be submitted to the corresponding
chair by January 17 1997. All papers will be refereed following the international
standards (at least three referees) and accepted and presented papers will be published in
the conference proceedings. A manuscript should not exceed 15 pages, including tables
and figures. The title page must include the title, author name(s), affiliations, postal
address, phone and e-mail address (make sure that this last is current and working). For
multi-authored submissions, the author for correspondence should be indicated.
While contributions must be submitted in paper form, the correspondence relating to
submissions will be conducted by electronic mail as much as possible. Faxed
submissions are not acceptable.
Please mark the envelope “Euro-PDS’97 Submission”.
