The conference will be organized biannually as a twin conference of the Electronics Devices and Systems Conferences organized in Brno, Czech Republic. Aim and Scope: The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers from universities and commercial companies' laboratories from Slovakia and abroad and to establish a forum for presentation of the latest research results and fruitful discussions. Papers presenting original work in all areas of circuits and systems are invited. Topics for regular sessions include, but are not restricted to the following: * Analog and Mixed Circuits and Signal Processing * Analysis and Design of Digital Circuits * Hardware/Software Codesign * Design Methodology * DSP * Neural Networks * Testing and Design for Testability * Microsystems * Optoelectronic Communication Systems * Telecomunication Applications * Industrial Applications Submission of Papers: The Program Committee invites original presentations in these areas. Prospective authors are requested to submit four copies of the proposal of their paper to the conference secretariat. The paper should clearly define a problem, give appropriate references, highlight author's contribution and present achieved results. The submission should include one page with with the following information: * title of the paper * name(s) and affiliation(s) of author(s) * contact author's full mailing address, fax and phone numbers, and e-mail * topics or keywords * indicate type of presentation (lecture, poster, either) Presentation: Papers will be presented as either lectures or posters. All contributions will be published in the Proceedings of the Conference. Official Language: The official language of the conference will be English. At the registration desk payment in the local currency will be made possible. Location: The conference will be held in the premises of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in Bratislava. The city Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is located on the banks of the Danube river, about 60 km eastern from Vienna. Positioned right at the foot of the south slopes of the Little Carpatian mountains the area around Bratislava is an ideal place for grape-growing. Small wine cellars and restaurants, places, where people meet old friends and make new ones, are the logical answers to the ancient traditions of making wine in the city. Bratislava is accessible from the Vienna airport by regular bus lines in less then 45 minutes. The distance to Budapest and Prague is about 200 and 330 km, respectively. Coming from these directions IC and EC trains are recommended. However, high quality road ways from all directions are available for those who prefer to drive a car. Accommodation: Accommodation will be provided in hotels of different categories in the center of the city. The estimated price ranges from 120 to 300 DEM per night. A limited number of places will be available in the halls of residence of the University for assumed prices between 30 and 60 DEM per night. Climatic Conditions: The weather in the beginning of September is usually warm and dry. During the day the temperature ranges from 22 to 25oC.
